Desert Farming Foundations
A live, small-group cohort that takes you from raw desert ground to a realistic first-season plan — crops, soil, water, and a calendar you can actually follow.
What the Cohort Covers
Four working sessions. Each one ends with a piece of your plan done.
Crop Selection
Which crops actually survive high-desert heat, wind, and frost windows — and how to match varieties to your specific microclimate, season length, and market or table goals.
Soil Building
Turning alkaline, low-organic-matter desert soil into a growing medium: compost strategy, mulch systems, and what to prioritize in year one versus what can wait.
Water Budgeting
How to calculate real water needs per bed and per crop, size a drip system, and build an irrigation schedule you can afford — before you plant, not after.
Your Action Plan
You leave with a written first-season plan: plot layout, crop list, water budget, and a week-by-week task calendar sized to your actual time and money.
How It Works
- Four weekly live video sessions (about 90 minutes each)
- Session times coordinated with the enrolled cohort — we poll the group before locking the schedule
- Working sessions, not lectures: you build your plan as we go
- Replays shared with all enrolled participants
- Between sessions: a cohort channel for questions and feedback
Enroll — $150

What This Is Not
We would rather lose a sale than overpromise. Before you enroll, be clear on what you are buying:
- •This is not a yield or income guarantee. Desert farming outcomes depend on your site, water access, weather, and execution.
- •This is not one-on-one agronomy consulting for your specific parcel — it is group instruction with live Q&A.
- •This is not financial, legal, or water-rights advice. We point you to the right agencies and questions to ask.
- •This is not a certification or accredited course — it is practical instruction from working desert farmers.
What you do get: a structured path, honest feedback on your plan, and a small group of people solving the same problems. That is worth $150 if you show up and do the work — and it is not magic.
